Dr. Jumba Jookiba leaned close to the test tube, observing the tiny pink form curled up inside. It began to squirm and gave a small kick against the glass. The eyes were squinted shut but started to twitch under the lids.
Upon pulling a lever, Jumba caused the fluid within the tube to drain and a warm fan blew into it. The experiment within mumbled and cooed as it was dried to a small puffball.
The glass tube receded, leaving only the pastel magenta alien cub exposed to the chilling laboratory air.
Jumba's chunky hands carefully held up the creature. He was at a loss for words as he examined his new creation. Finally, he'd made something closer to what he envisioned than ever before. It was only a matter of time before it grew into a fantastically fatal little monster.
"Experiment 624... Welcome to the world..." Jumba whispered under his breath.
She opened her big glossy eyes for the first time, blinking them at her creator.
